I'm Mark Itskowitch — for 25+ years I've worked as a creative professional across digital media: graphic design, web, video, motion graphics, animation, and multimedia. I've worked with McGraw‑Hill New Media, Jostens Learning, Sony Online, and the NBC Agency. I also ran an Adobe Authorized Training Center in Los Angeles for over 12 years.

Today that experience feeds headTrix, Inc., my studio: I create AI video ads, AI avatars & branded content for companies, and I teach individuals and corporations how to do it themselves with Adobe Creative Cloud & AI tools — private 1-on-1, onsite corporate, or live online.

I was in a fraternity in college, and my pledge name was "Trix" — decades later we still call each other by our pledge names. Always loving creativity, I took a ceramics class as an elective. I wasn't so successful at the wheel, so I started draping clay slabs over a bag instead, shaping them into heads and masks. I kept sculpting through a UCSD class — including carving a bust from a live model — and a friend who saw the growing collection told me to sell them in Soho and call them "headTrix."

The idea sat until a UCSD Web Publishing certificate class required a website project. Instead of something throwaway, I built a portfolio site for my masks, sculptures & illustrations and called it headTrix — live in 1999 (view the beginning). By 2000, it had grown into headTrix: An Interactive Multimedia Agency — illustrations, interactive games, eLearning, Flash banners, and websites — while I taught and advertised my own classes on the side.

Speaking at Adobe Authorized Training Centers led me to become an Adobe Certified Instructor around 2004–2006, and in 2007 headTrix itself became an Adobe Authorized Training Center as headTrix Training opened. A year later, headTrix and headTrix Training merged to form headTrix, Inc. | Adobe Certified Training & Consulting. The rest is history — and a bit of a mystery. Stay tuned!
